What is a declaration of conformity?

Depending on the technical regulations and the specific product, a confirmation scheme is possible, which consists in declaring. The declaration of conformity is drawn up by the applicant on the basis of test reports of an accredited laboratory. This document must be uploaded to the Rosaccreditation portal. The applicant is a resident of the Customs Union. A foreign manufacturer cannot be an Applicant, as it cannot be held liable in the legal space of the Customs Union.

Types of goods to be declared

EAC declaration

  • Oil and fat and other food products: meat, milk, fish, grain and products of their processing, juices, food additives;

  • Machinery and equipment;

  • Perfumery and cosmetic products;

  • Lubricants;

  • Low voltage equipment;

  • Goods intended for children and teenagers;

  • Chemical products;

  • Furniture;

  • Light industry goods;

  • Package;

  • Devices that operate under overpressure;

  • Hazardous substances that are used in the production of electrical engineering, radio electronics.

EAC Certificate TR CU

A more rigorous confirmation of the conformity of the goods to the standards is the certification of TR CU. In such cases, greater responsibility is required and the evidence of the applicant will no longer be enough. The certificate is issued by an accredited certification body on the basis of tests in an accredited laboratory, verifying the compliance of the product with existing standards. As a rule, certification is required for the following product groups:

 

  • domestic appliances;

  • Kids toys;

  • industrial equipment;

  • footwear, furniture, clothes;

  • perfumes;

  • elevators;

  • cranes

  • underwear of the first layer for adults;

  • foodstuffs, chemical additives, etc.
